Inventory data

StockMe works without an account. Items, locations, prices, notes and selected photos are stored in the app's private storage on your device. StockMe does not send them to an inventory server. Your device's system backup may include this data depending on your Apple or Google settings.

Photos and backups

Photo access is requested when you choose an image. Photos are resized and copied to the app's documents folder. An exported backup contains your items, photos, locations and history; StockMe does not encrypt it. You choose where to send it and should keep it somewhere safe. A local recovery copy is created before restoring a backup. Uninstalling the app may erase local data, so keep an external backup.

Listing imports and remote images

When you import or refresh a listing, StockMe contacts the relevant website. Displaying and saving remote images also contacts their host. These sites necessarily receive network information, including your IP address. The clipboard is read only when you tap Paste link. Automatic import is not guaranteed when a website restricts automated access.

StockMe Pro purchases

Payments are processed by the Apple or Google store. RevenueCat verifies transactions and Pro entitlements using a technical app-installation or customer identifier, purchased products and purchase status. StockMe does not receive your payment card details. This exchange is needed to activate and restore purchases. The price, billing period and renewal terms, if any, are shown by the store for the selected offer before purchase confirmation.

Optional analytics and diagnostics

They are disabled by default and can be enabled or withdrawn in Settings > Privacy. With your consent, PostHog (European service region) receives generic screen names and events about imports, first item additions and sales, backups and Pro, plus technical information about the app and device. Context may include the marketplace, import method, duration, a generic outcome or error code and Pro offer information. A pseudonymous technical identifier may be used; this is not absolute anonymity. Sentry receives technical reports limited to error types, code locations and import context restricted to the marketplace, method and technical codes. These events do not send item titles, listing URLs, notes, photos, item identifiers or detailed browsing logs. These services are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. Automatic PostHog geolocation is disabled for new events. Providers may still process your IP address to transmit and secure requests. Withdrawing consent does not erase data already sent.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app, subject to your device backups. Exported copies remain with their recipients until you delete them. Purchase records are retained by the store and RevenueCat under their respective policies and obligations. Withdrawing consent stops future optional transmissions but does not automatically erase records already sent.
